ENID, Okla. — Young adults who grew up in the foster care system will speak about their experiences at the third annual Child Advocacy Council luncheon May 9.

Proceeds from the luncheon will be used to support CAC programs for abused and neglected children. These include Court Appointed Special Advocates; providing a safe and non-threatening place for interviews with children; reunifications visits for families in the process of reuniting; Child Abuse Response Team; and Child Abuse Response Education Team.

Mystery boxes will be available for purchase at the door. Purchase price for mystery boxes is $20, and each purchaser has a chance to win a Pandora Bracelet with charm donated by Jackson Diamond Jewelers, an iPad or a $100 bill.

Park Avenue Thrift is sponsoring this year’s luncheon.

The luncheon will be held at Oakwood Country Club. Admission is $100 per person. Anyone who wants to attend and has not made reservations can call (580) 242-1153 by May 4.
