Enid voters will have one school board race to decide following the final day of filing Wednesday.
Robbie Woods, Enid Public Schools Office 6 incumbent, will face a challenge from Colleen K. Arnold. Office 6 covers basically north and west Enid.
Sean P. Byrne will take the Office 1 seat on the EPS Board of Education. He was the only person to file. Incumbent Mark Selix did not run for re-election. Office 1 covers central and south Enid.
Several other races shape up in Garfield County.
Louie Blough and David Bradford will face each other for the Garber Office 4 seat.
Michael Parrish and Paula Olmstead will compete for the Kremlin-Hillsdale Office 4 seat, and John C. Otto and Elaine E. Epps will face off for the Drummond Office 4 seat.
Brenda Moody, Justin Lamunyon and Darla Eckhardt will compete for the Waukomis Office 4 seat.
Others who automatically will win seats because they drew no opposition were: Gene Knouse, Covington-Douglas Office 4; Kyle Hohmann, Autry Technology Center; Jack R. Kehnemund, Chisholm Office 4; and Clee Jay Hedges, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Office 4.
Garfield County Election Board Secretary Lue Ann Root said no one from Garfield County filed for open school board seats in the Billings, Cimarron, Henneseey, Mulhall-Orlando, Pond Creek-Hunter and Timber-lake districts. Those districts include portions of Garfield County, as well as other counties.
