OHP, Wal-Mart partnering with NWOBI in upcoming blood drives

Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Wal-Mart are partnering with Northwest Oklahoma Blood Institute for blood drives Tuesday and Dec. 11.

All healthy, Enid-area residents, age 17 and older, are encouraged to donate.

NWOBI’s bloodmobile will be at OHP’s Troop J headquarters, 5725 W. Garriott, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and at Wal-Mart Supercenter, 5505 W. Garriott, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 11.

All donors will be registered for a chance to win either a 2008 Saturn Astra or $15,000 in cash from Bob Moore Saturn. The drawing will be Feb. 14.

Along with a free health screening and Members for Life points to redeem at Oklahoma Blood Institute’s online store, donors will also receive a license plate frame.

NWOBI, 301 E. Cherokee, is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday; and 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday.
