Waukomis winter music program Tuesday

The Waukomis Public Schools winter music program is 6 p.m. Tuesday in the high school gym.

Waukomis After Prom Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the high school library. All junior and senior parents are encouraged to attend.

After Prom will be selling pizza for lunch Friday. Cost is $1.25 a slice.

Waukomis band performed during homecoming halftime Nov. 1 at Southwestern Okla-homa State University.

Elementary schools’ reading night was Oct. 28, with Waukomis Fire Chief Clarence Maly reading a book to the students. He also brought a fire truck for the students to see, and firefighter Terry Young gave a demonstration following the reading.

The annual Thanksgiving dinner will be served at 10:15 a.m. Nov. 20 at the school cafeteria for anyone wishing to attend and eat with their child. Cost is $4.50 for adults and $1.25 for children who do not attended Waukomis schools.

Those attending State Stu-dent Council Convention in Jenks today and Monday are Chad Clark, Nikul Kumar, Darrien Carson, Evan Lamun-yon, Ryan Godwin, Rylee Mack, Taylor McElroy, Becky Solis and Haylie Simunek.

The top three sellers in the junior class magazine drive were Gary Shelite, Taylor McElroy and Katelyn James.

The eighth-grade class will tour Autry Technology Center Nov. 20.

A boys high school basketball scrimmage will be 9 a.m. Saturday against Mooreland on the WHS home court.

Boys and girls high school basketball teams will kick off their seasons Nov. 21 against Oklahoma Bible Academy. The girls game begins at 6:30 p.m.

----------------

The junior high basketball teams will host Garber at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 17 and play in the Cimarron Tournament Nov. 17-22. The girls play their first game of the tournament at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 against Okeene.
