Cimarron opens basketball season Tuesday at Lahoma

— Cimarron Blazers and Lady Blazers will host Aline-Cleo Springs for the first high school basketball game of the season beginning at 6:30 Tuesday. The newly formed Cimarron Ag Boosters are hosting a pork loin dinner at 5:30 p.m. in the lobby of the gymnasium prior to the basketball game. Menu will include pork tenderloin, cheesy hash brown casserole, barbecue baked beans, homemade pie and iced tea. Cost is $7.
The high school teams will travel to Drummond with games starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
The junior high will begin its basketball season by hosting Aline-Cleo at 6:30 p.m. Monday. They will host Drummond at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
The fifth- and sixth-grade basketball teams will host Aline-Cleo at 4:30 p.m. Monday, and travel to Okeene Nov. 8 to play in the Okeene Festival.

Cimarron FFA Chapter is taking orders for holiday winter rose red poinsettias. Order now and poinsettias will be in before Thanksgiving. Cost is $10. The FFA also is taking donations for Toys for Tots. Anyone can donate a new, unwrapped toy and take it to the vo-ag building or give it to any FFA member.

Church

Women’s Circle at United Church of Lahoma is hosting its annual chili/stew dinner at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 9. Cost is by donation. Homemade goodies and crafts will be available for sale.
