Church

First Baptist Church had a dinner Oct. 25 honoring the Rev. Jeff and Cara Jackson for Pastor Appreciation Month.

Today, the church will host Jesus Created Ministries for an all-day event.

All Sunday school classes will meet in the sanctuary at 9:45 a.m. and share the importance of believing scripture. There will be a nursery provided for young children.

An all-church chili and stew supper will be 6 p.m. before the presentation on the Bible and astronomy. At the end of the evening service, there will be a star gazing party.

The church is participating in Operation Christmas Child. The goal is to pack 60 boxes this year for needy children throughout the world.

First Baptist Church Council will meet 5 p.m. today.

---------------

St. John’s Lutheran Church had a special Reformation service Oct. 25, with Gene Hollrah, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Enid, delivering the morning message. A fall celebration was held with a fellowship meal of soup and chili. Special treats were given to all the children.

Following the meal pastor Tim Dorsch, of Fairmont, lead the evening Peacemakers Bible study.
