Waukomis carnival slated for Saturday

The annual Waukomis Elementary School carnival will be Saturday.

The After Prom committee will serve a spaghetti supper at 5 in the cafeteria, games will be 5:30-7:30 and royalty will be crowned at 7:30.

Class king and queen candidates are Brylei Sinclair and Tydus Lynch, Aaricka Atkinson and Gage Tennyson, Lacie Forman and Thad Terrel, Taelyn Vanover and Brison Barton, Brynlee Cue and Jordon Young, Elisa Salyer and Devin Wagner, Hannah Barton and Weston Jones, Ashley Wisby and Kade Wheeler, Madison Hastings and Collin Jones and Jennifer Geddes and Christian Brown.

The class selling the most $1 raffle tickets will see its candidates crowned.

Prizes are a John Deere weed-eater, a gift gag from ABC Bank in Waukomis, a $50 gift card from Sugar Rush, a $25 Wal-Mart gift card, a photo session with Jamie Donivan and an X-box console.

A silent auction will be held on other items.

Raffle ticket money is due by 9 a.m. Friday.

The school quiz bowl team competes at Cimarron Monday.

The high school girls’ basketball team will scrimmage at 4 p.m. at Deer Creek-Lamont Tuesday.

Students will attend the district student council convention at Piedmont Wednesday.

FFA officers will attend the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis this week.

Waukomis’ band will march in the Northwestern Oklahoma State University homecoming parade Saturday.
