An Enid man was injured Monday morning when the vehicle he was a passenger in rolled.
According to an Enid Police Department report, Dime Sawej, 19, suffered an incapacitating arm injury in the 5:52 a.m. rollover at 16th and Maine. The driver of the vehicle and two other passengers fled the scene.
Sawej told police he was a passenger in the front seat of the vehicle, which was northbound on 16th from the parking lot of 1602 E. Maine, according to the report. Sawej said the driver intended to turn east onto Broadway from the intersection but left the roadway to the right, driving onto a utility pole guy wire. The vehicle then rolled onto its top.
Sawej was pinned in the vehicle and three men fled on foot, according to the report.
According to the report, Sawej was taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center by Life EMS.
The incident remains under investigation.
