Ice cream social provides Billings residents a chance to meet district’s new faculty at the school today

Billings FFA will host an ice cream social at 6 p.m. today at the Billings Public Schools cafeteria.
Homemade ice cream and desserts will be served. Those attending can meet the new school faculty. Anyone wishing to bring a dessert to share may do so.

Billings Fellowship of Christian Athletes continues to collect aluminum cans, which can be deposited in the collection bin south of the school’s ag building. FCA game day is Sept. 13. For information, contact Michael Lounsbury.

Billings Partners in Education has begun a drive to collect box tops for education. Collection containers are set up around town, or the box tops can be mailed to Billings school, P.O. Box 39, Billings, OK 74630.

Billings Chamber of Commerce is finalizing plans for the annual Wheat Festival.
Wheat Festival will be Sept. 20 and features arts and crafts, museum tours, food booths and live entertainment, among other activities. Admission is free.
Indoor, air-conditioned booths and and outdoor booths still are available. Cost is $20 for an indoor booth and $15 for an outdoor booth. Contact Betty Hayton at (580) 725-3258 for information.
