NASCAR tickets giveaway is headlining today’s drive

KOFM and KGWA are teaming with Northwest Oklahoma Blood Institute to give away tickets to a NASCAR race in November.

The promotion kicks off today with a blood drive at Oakwood Mall. The drive will be noon to 6 p.m. across from the food court. One donor will win the first set of tickets. Donors giving apheresis at the NWOBI center, 301 E. Cherokee, also will be eligible.

There will be 21 sets of tickets given away throughout September.

All donors through Sept. 28 will be entered to win two tickets to the Dickies 500 NASCAR race Nov. 2 at Texas Motor Speedway. A winner a day will be announced Monday through Friday throughout the month. In addition to the tickets, the winners will receive transportation to and from the event, departing from Enid aboard a luxurious chartered bus.

First-time donors also will have a chance to win “The Ultimate Racing Combo” from Texas Driving Exper-ience. That is a chance to get behind the wheel for the five laps and then strap in the passenger’s seat as a real racecar driver is in control of the next five laps.

Every donor will receive a free T-shirt and free health checks.
