A pickup found burning early Sunday was apparently stolen from an Enid man.
OHP Trooper Robert Cottrill said a pickup found burning about 12:45 a.m. was later reported stolen by Richard Atkinson of Enid. The pickup fire was extinguished by Hillsdale-Carrier Fire Dept. about 12:45 a.m. Cottrill was able to obtain the vehicle identification number and notified Atkinson, who later confirmed the vehicle, a 2002 Chevrolet S-14. had been stolen. Cottrill said the vehicle may have been stolen for the wheels and tires which were worth about $2,000, according to the owner.
