Tabby cat needs a home

Featured pet of the week for Enid Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is Sandy.

Sandy is a 4-year-old orange tabby cat with pale- green eyes. He is up to date on shots and has been neutered.

Sandy was brought to SPCA for a second time after his owner abandoned him. He is FIV positive, which simply means his immune system is weaker than most cats. Because FIV is contagious, though, he should not live in a house with other cats unless they also are FIV positive. Overall, Sandy is very healthy and he deserves a home as special as he is.

Sandy is eligible for the Pets for Seniors Program. He would make a good pet for a senior citizen because he adores his family and loves to receive attention. He is calm and endearing.

Bowers, 13, is an eighth-grader at Ringwood Junior High School.
