Fire destroyed a garage northeast of Lahoma Thursday afternoon. Firefighters from Lahoma, Drummond and Hillsdale-Carrier responded to the blaze at 2:41 p.m., Lahoma Fire Chief David Wedel said.
The fire was out and the scene cleared by 4:45 p.m., Wedel said. The building was a total loss.
Wedel said a damage estimate was not available, but the contents of the “farm shop,” which included a race car, mower, tiller, air compressor and other equipment, were burned.
Wedel said no cause had been determined.
“We’re trying to determine that,” he said. “It was not suspicious.”
Wedel said he believes the cause was electrical, but the remains of the building were “too far gone” to determine.
