2 vehicle accidents injure 3

Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon when their vehicles collided on U.S. 81 in Kingfisher County.

Michael Henry Moeller, 41, of Dover, and Cody Samuel Lukasek, 29, of Yukon, both were listed in good condition in Kingfisher Regional Hospital after the accident.

According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, the 4:43 p.m. accident occurred on U.S. 81 at the intersection with the Park community blacktop one mile south of Kingfisher.

According to the report, Moeller was driving a 2008 Chevrolet pickup north on U.S. 81, and Lukasek was driving a 2004 Ford pickup east on the Park blacktop. Lukasek failed to yield from a stop sign, according to the report, and hit Moeller’s pickup.

Moeller was taken to the Kingfisher hospital by private vehicle with head, chest and arm injuries. Lukasek was taken by King-fisher EMS with abrasions and head injuries.

Seat belts were in use in both vehicles.

Meanwhile, a Sharon teenager was injured late Monday night in a one-vehicle accident near Woodward.

Joshua Glenn Nielsen, 16, was listed in good condition with neck injuries at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, according to an OHP report.

The accident happened at 11:10 p.m. about 101⁄2 miles south of Woodward on a county road.

According to the report, Nielsen was driving a 2000 Chevrolet pickup south when he failed to stop at a T intersection. His pickup went off the south side of the road and hit an embankment. It then went airborne and hit a fence, coming to rest on its wheels in a pasture, according to the report.

Nielsen was not wearing a seat belt. The report listed Nielsen as “apparently sleepy.”
