Woman injured in crash

A Carrier woman was injured Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle accident north of Lahoma.

Lully Rauch, 54, was admitted to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in stable condition, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries.

According to the report, at about 10 a.m. Tuesday Rauch was driving a 1992 Ford Explorer south on Stabe Road about 31⁄2 miles north of Lahoma. She went off the east side of the road, then crossed and ran off the west side and through a fence into a pasture. The vehicle rolled 41⁄4 times, landing in a creek and coming to rest on the passengers side. She was pinned inside the vehicle for about 35 minutes.

A ground search was conducted by law enforcement officers looking for other victims, after the woman told authorities she had passengers. The search came up empty, but a dive team was called to conduct a search of the creek the vehicle landed in.

Members of the Garfield County dive team, Rusty Gray and Bill Cunningham, conducted the search, said Mike Honigsberg, director of Enid and Garfield County Emergency Management.

“They walked together side-by-side using feel. They went about 30 yards past the point of entry just to be sure. We feel pretty secure there was no one in the water,” Honigsberg said. The cause of the accident was listed on the report as the driver being under the influence of medications.
