A Helena man was hospitalized Thursday night after a two-vehicle accident west of Enid and U.S. 132.
Larry Dwayne Brown, 68, was admitted to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in good condition with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
The accident happened at 7:03 p.m. just east of the U.S. 412-Oklahoma 132 South intersection.
According to the report, Brown, driving a 2004 Nissan pickup, and Misty Jean Stroud, 29, of Lahoma, driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix, were westbound on U.S. 412. Stroud attempted to pass Brown, when Brown changed lanes into Stroud’s car, according to the report.
The impact sent both vehicles off the road to the right. Stroud’s car rolled one-half time, coming to rest on its top in the ditch, according to the report. Brown’s pickup rolled one and one-half times, ending up on its top in the same ditch.
Stroud was taken by private vehicle to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, where she was treated for head, arm and leg injuries and released.
Seat belts were in use in both vehicles, according to the report.
