Two people were injured Tuesday in a one-vehicle accident in Woodward County.
Corey Wayne Hurt, 19, of Seiling, was taken to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City with head, leg, arm and trunk injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. He was admitted in serious condition.
A passenger in his vehicle, April Lee Thiesing, 18, of Alva, was taken to Woodward Regional Hospital, then transferred to McBride Clinic in Oklahoma City, according to the report. She was admitted with arm injuries and listed in stable condition.
The accident happened at 2:53 p.m. nearly eight miles north of Mooreland on Oklahoma 50.
According to the report, Hurt was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer south on Oklahoma 50 when he apparently fell asleep. His vehicle went off the left side of the road, vaulted over a culvert and rolled three times, coming to rest on its wheels, according to the report. Hurt was ejected during the first roll.
Hurt was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report, while Thiesing was.
