Woman hurt in area crash

A Woodward woman was hospitalized Wednesday after being injured in an accident in Blaine County.
Dessie R. Stephenson, 89, was admitted to Watonga Hospital in good condition with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report. She is being held for observation.
The accident happened at 5:45 p.m. eight miles west of Watonga on U.S. 270, according to the report.
Stephenson was a passenger in a 2004 Buick driven by Belva Ann Mabra, 53, of Woodward.
According to the report, Mabra was driving west in the left lane of U.S. 270 when a semi appeared to merge into her lane. Her car went off the road to the left and rolled one and one-half times in the center median, coming to rest on its top in the eastbound lanes, according to the report.
Mabra was treated for head and arm injuries and released, according to the report.
Seat belts were in use, according to the report.
