An Enid jury recommended a 25-year sentence for distribution of controlled substance Friday for a 42-year-old man.
Joseph Lander Smith was found guilty by the nine-woman, three-man jury following a two-day trial.
He was convicted of selling crack cocaine to a police informant Aug. 30, 2007.
The jury deliberated for more than an hour Friday before returning the guilty verdict and for half an hour before returning with the sentencing recommendation.
During the trial, audio and video recordings of Smith selling drugs to the informant were played for the jury.
Smith also has a 2000 conviction for second-degree rape for which he received a 15-year sentence, with eight years suspended. The remaining eight years will be revoked with credit for time served.
Smith is scheduled for sentencing at 10 a.m. June 4.
