An Enid man was charged Monday for allegedly molesting a 13-year-old girl almost a year ago.
Anthony D. Jordan, 22, was charged with a felony count of lewd molestation, after the girl’s mother told police she read in her daughter’s diary about the contact Jordan had with her daughter.
The girl and her mother made a report to the Enid Police Department Oct. 19, 2006, about the incident June 15, 2006.
The girl’s mother said she read in her daughter’s dairy about Jordan touching and molesting her daughter, according to an affidavit. Police asked the girl if she had written what was in the diary, and she said she had and it was true.
The girl wrote in her diary a man named “Spider,” later identified as Jordan, had been at her apartment after her mother had fallen asleep, the affidavit states. The girl also wrote Jordan had been “tickling” her and began to rub on her.
On Oct. 26, 2006, the girl was interviewed by a member of the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office about the entry in her dairy. Enid police interviewed Jordan Friday, after several attempts to locate him after the initial report last year.
Jordan said he had been hanging out with the girl and two of her friends on June 15, 2006, according to an affidavit. He said he knew the girl and her friends were under age 16.
Jordan faces three to 20 years in prison, if convicted of the felony. He was given a $10,000 bond and was ordered to return to court June 7 for a bond appearance.
