Exchange student host families needed

The government monitored International Student Exchange needs host families to step forward and make a dream come true for a high school-aged foreign teen.

According to the regional manager, Linda Watson, there are 20 students still looking to come to Oklahoma for the upcoming academic year. All they need now is a host family. A family provides room, two meals per day and a measure of guidance for the student during their exchange stay.

ISE students are screened both in their own country and by the ISE acceptance committee for academic excellence and for English proficiency. Exchange families can be couples with or without children, or single parent families. The exchange student will attend the nearest public school to the host family and each is eager to become a participating member of his or her host family, pitching in on everything from household chores to family discussions.

For information on hosting one of these or to see information on other students, contact Linda Watson at (877) 439-5621.
