Waukomis High School band concert rescheduled for Thursday

The high school band concert has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Rylee Mack and Taylor McElroy are the girls who have been chosen and Nikul Kumar is the boy chosen to represent Waukomis at Girls and Boys State. Kumar is sponsored by Waukomis Masonic Lodge 161.

The annual Waukomis Elementary School Little Olympics will 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

The high school will continue with the EOI testing Monday.

--------

The Baptist Sports will be at the high school at 7:45 a.m. Friday to take orders for letter jackets for those who qualify.

The junior/senior prom is set for Saturday at Continental Towers North Ballroom. The promenade is 5:30 p.m. in the gym and pictures will be taken at 8 p.m. The community is welcome to attend the promenade.

The FFA Banquet is 6:30 p.m. May 12 at the grade school.

--------

A student council blood drive will be 8 a.m. to noon May 14.

--------

The Waukomis sports banquet will be 6:30 p.m. May 14 in the all-purpose room of the grade school.

--------

The middle school and high school awards assembly is 1:30 p.m. May 15 in the gym.

--------

The kindergarten through third-grade music program is Tuesday and the fourth- and fifth-grade music program is May 12. Both will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the gym.

The deadline to order school supplies for the 2009-2010 school year is May 21.

Waukomis Elementary Teacher of the Month for May is speech teacher Ronda Martin.
