Fairview senior citizens planning fun walk

Fairview Fellowship Village Apartments is sponsoring its third annual Senior Fun Walk May 21. The events will start at 9 a.m. at the southeast corner of the complex.

There will be a one-block walk, along with distance walks of one, two and three miles.

There will be refreshments and meals available. Prizes will be awarded and each participant will receive a T-shirt to commemorate the event.

The walk is open to the public. Senior citizens need to pre-register by Wednesday. Call LaDonna Pembrook, apartments’ wellness director, at (580) 227-3783.

Pembrook is planning a senior citizen bus trip May 14 to Wichita, Kan. Crown Uptown Dinner Theatre is presenting a matinee performance of “Smoke On The Mountain.”

Cost is $28, which includes dinner with the performance. Transportation expenses will be by donation. Participants from the Enid area are welcome.

Gail Major, chair of the local Relay For Life, spoke to Chamber of Commerce Monday.

Sponsors still are welcome to participate in Relay For Life as fundraisers are being planned.
