A Cimarron, N.M., couple were injured Friday in a two-vehicle accident at the junction of U.S. 412 and U.S. 281 in Major County.
Charles W. Terpening, 85, and his wife, Dorothy, 83, were taken to Fairview Hos-pital, according to an Oklaho-ma Highway Patrol report.
Charles Terpening suffered internal injuries and was listed in stable condition, ac-cording to the report, while his wife was listed in stable condition with head and internal injuries.
The accident happened at 11 a.m.
According to the report Charles Terpening was driving a 2009 Kia east on U.S. 412 when his vehicle was hit by a 2004 Ford pickup driven by Stephen Joseph Blacke, 24, of Edmond. Blacke was driving north on U.S. 281. He stopped at a stop sign then started to pull out, according to the report, and hit Terpen-ingÕs car.
Blacke was not injured.
Dorothy Terpening was pinned for 29 minutes, according to the report. Seat belts were in use in both vehicles.
