Organizers fire up rib dinner Saturday in Marshall

Marshall Volunteer Fire Department’s rib supper is 4-8 p.m. Saturday in the school gym.
Cost is $9 in advance and $10 at the door for adults; $4 in advance and $5 at the door for children ages 6-10; and free for children younger than 5. Thri-vent Financial for Lutherans Chapter 30446, Anchor Lodge 104 of Crescent and Head Country will sponsor the event.

Hopewell Club met Mon-day at Tri-County Senior Cen-ter for lunch. Dorothy Murphy was hostess. The club ordered McNess products as a fundraiser. Also attending were Betty Clickner, Mary Wyssman and Ruby Schoeling. The next meeting will be April 7. Schoeling will be the hostess.

Tri-County Senior Citizens Center will have its monthly birthday dinner Friday. Members with a birthday in March are invited to come for their free birthday dinner.
Church

Fifth Sunday Sing will be 7 p.m. Sunday at Covington United Methodist Church.

School

Covington-Douglas Public Schools softball team is playing in the Cimarron tournament through Friday. The team will host Mulhall-Orlando Monday and Chisholm Tuesday, with games starting at 4 p.m.

The Skeltur baseball tournament will be Monday through April 3.

The Covington-Douglas track team will participate in the Medford track meet Thursday. Covington-Douglas will host its annual track meet Saturday. A junior high track meet is Monday at Covington-Douglas. Covington-Douglas will host a fifth- and sixth-grade track meet Wednesday.

Covington-Douglas FCCLA will participate in FCCLA state events Friday and Saturday in Stillwater.
