Ringwood FCCLA members Kelsey Richert and Emily Buller planned and executed a health and fitness project for Ringwood Elementary School during the week of Feb. 19-22.
A variety of activities were planned to promote having fun with fitness and encouraging healthy diets. The fitness activities were carried out during elementary physical education classes.
Richert and Buller demonstrated jazzercise, a “Sharks and Islands” game and the cha cha slide.
To encourage healthy diets, Ringwood FCCLA invited elementary students into the FACS department to learn about the food guide pyramid. At each snack station, the children were able to sample healthy snacks from each of the food groups.
