A Seiling woman was hospitalized Tuesday morning after being injured in an accident in Dewey County.
Linda L. Goddard, 45, was flown to University of Okla-homa Medical Center in Okla-homa City with internal and leg injuries, according to an Okla-homa Highway Patrol report. A hospital spokeswoman had no record of her Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened at about 5:40 a.m. on Chapman Road, about two miles east of U.S. 60.
According to the report, Goddard was a passenger in a 1986 Chevrolet pickup driven by Rene Rivas-Ruiz, 39, of Chester. Rivas-Ruiz attempted to make a left-hand turn, ac-cording to the report, and went off the road into a steep ditch, rolling one-half time. Goddard was pinned for 45 minutes.
Rivas-Ruiz was not injured, according to the report. Two other passengers, Gordon Lightman, 54, of Seiling, and Guadalupe Trevzo-Rivas, 53, of Woodward, were treated at Seiling Hospital and released.
The investigating trooper listed alcohol as the cause of the accident.
