Area amateur photographers are invited to enter Enid Rotary Club’s Amateur Photo Contest.
Rotary is sponsoring the photography contest in two categories — Oklahoma Centennial or Service Above Self, which is the Rotary motto.
The contest is open to all ages. Entries must be postmarked no later than March 28. First-, second- and third-place winners will be named in each of the two categories. First-place winners will receive $100, second-place winners $75 and third-place winners $50.
Photos will be judged by professionals based on criteria, effectiveness and creativity and image quality.
Photos must be submitted on photo-quality paper or on a compact disc, with photos saved with a .jpg or .bmp extension. There should be only one photo per CD.
Entry forms may be downloaded at the Rotary Web site, www.enidrotary.org.
Those entering who are younger than 18 must have forms signed by an adult or guardian. Entries will not be returned.
Professional or free-lance photographers cannot enter.
Submit entries to Enid Rotary Club, P,O. Box 1181, Enid, OK 73702-1181; Wendy Quarles at PEGASYS, 123 W. Maine; or wquarles@pegasys.org. For information, call 237-0099.
Winners will be announced at Enid Rotary’s fund-raising event “A Taste of Enid,” set for 6 p.m. April 10 at Continental North Ballroom.
