Road closure to expand from Cherokee to Maine

Cummins Construction Co. will expand the current road closure on Washington from Cherokee to Maine beginning Friday.
Cummins will repair portions of the pavement. The extent of the closure on Washington will be from the south side of Maine to the north side of Oklahoma. East-west traffic on Cherokee will not be able to cross Washington. The work is being done as part of the 2009 Concrete Street Rehabilitation Program.
Construction is expected to take approximately two weeks depending on weather. The street will be closed to all through traffic.
