2 hurt in Beckham County crash

Two Woodward residents were injured early Tuesday morning in an accident in Beckham County.

Katie Lynn Kizer, 23, and Joshua Dean McGee, 22, both are hospitalized at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in guarded condition, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

The accident happened at 12:15 a.m. on Oklahoma 34, a little more than two miles north of Elk City.

According to the report, Kizer was driving north on Oklahoma 34 when her vehicle went off the road and rolled two and one-quarter times. Kizer and McGee were ejected.

The vehicle did not have seat belts, according to the report, which listed inattention as the cause.

Kizer suffered internal trunk injuries, and McGee had internal trunk injuries and leg injuries, according to the report.
