About the April 1 tornadic winds that almost reached Enid. I wish to say that we watched the progress of that storm on TV and Gary England gave us a very good report on what was going on. He showed us a brown funnel that was at the very edge of Enid and the Lord only knows which way that funnel was going to go.
Our newspaper printed a remark the downtown area was never reached by that storm. Well, in my thoughts, even if that kind of storm gets as close as Waukomis, I want to know about it. It takes a little time to prepare some safety action and not wait until it hits.
From now on I plan to watch Channel 9 to keep us advised. Gary will keep us safer.
Have you ever thought about the unbelievable amount of money wasted on presidential campaigns? All that money could sure be used for more important things, such as health care and hunger in this world, for our “wounded veterans,” cures for cancer and other diseases and many more important things that need support.
In my younger days I’ve seen candidates running for office give their speeches from the rear platform of a train, on street corners, in auditoriums and other places and there was no mention of campaign funds. Sure, I’m “old-fashioned” and proud of it. I still say I’m going to vote for McCain. He makes more sense than any of the others.
This year, the pro-abortion gang and the militant homosexual movement are all raising record amounts of money to capture the White House. Then, their candidates would attempt to pack our courts with ACLU radicals who will impose “same-sex” marriage on all 50 states and ensure that abortion-on-demand will continue for another generation. Be careful how you vote.
