Introducing the 98th EHS May Fete Court

ENID, Okla. — Enid High School’s 98th May Fete celebration, the annual spring rite of passage into adulthood, will be 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.

The celebration takes place at Government Springs Park and begins with introduction of the May Court. The court and senior class then promenade around the lake to the gazebo and are seated.

After everyone is seated the queen is crowned, followed by entertainment for the queen. The winding of the Maypole follows.

This year’s May Fete Queen Lillian Mera and Herald Michael Walker III will lead the seniors’ traditional walk around the park’s lake. She is the daughter of Rand and Joseline Mera. He is the son of Sandra K. Haynes.

Honor attendant is Colleen Zelenski, and her escort is Jake Scott. She is the daughter of Warren and Joanne Zelenski. He is the son of Jon and Sue Scott.

May Court members are:

• Claire Andrews, daughter of Don and Kathy Andrews, and Jesus Camarena, son of Ismael and Imelda Camarena.

• Kaitlin Bell, daughter of Jeff Bell and Karen and John Arnold, and Angel Chavez, son of Gabriel and Georgina Chavez.

• Katelyn Bushman, daughter of Thomas and Laurie Bushman, and Kit Chavez, son of Andres and Alejandra Chavez.

• Chelsea Callant, daughter of Dave and Kelly Callant, and Edgar Delgadillo, son of Fernando and Ofelia Delgadillo.

• Hope Frisbie, daughter of Michael and Phebe Frisbie, and Robert Frantz, son of Kyle and Dannette Frantz.

• Paulina Medrano, daughter of Manuel and Abelina Medrano, and David Prater, son of Mark Prater and Denise Prater.

• Rachel Pyper, daughter of Vaughn and Tami Pyper, and Benjamin Weber, son of Tim and Marcia Weber.
