Students present piano recital


Enid News and Eagle

ENID, Okla. — The students of Ann Price presented their annual piano recital May 2 at the home of Brent and Marcy Price.

The students played a variety of piano styles including classical, hymn arrangements, marches, boogies, ragtime, hymns with track accompaniment and a duet.

Students participating were:

Loren Simpson played “Fuzzy, Wuzzy Worm, Plurals” and “Oh, How I love Jesus.”

William Price playing “Salute to the Colors and Blue Boogie.”

Elizabeth Price played “Snowflake” and “The Great Smoky Mountains.”

Matt Killam played “ARABESQUE,” “Fur Elise,” “In the Hall of the Mountain King” and “The Viking.”

Savannah Price played “Ballad Opus 100 No. 15,” “The Swan” and “Stand Up for Jesus.”

Tyler Hallett played “Maple Leaf Rag” and “American Frontier.”

Katie Shewey played “Amazing Grace” and “In Christ Alone” with track.

Kylie Geurkink played “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot,” a spiritual, and “Tarantella.”

Katie Shewey and Ann Price played “Celebration Overture” as a duet.

The five students participating in the Tri-State Music Festival were: Loren Simpson, William Price, Elizabeth Price, Savannah Price and Kylie Geurkink. All five students received an excellent rating.
