Local Church Briefs for 8-9-13

Bethel Baptist slates anniversary

Bethel Baptist Church, 901 S. Cleveland, will have its 46th anniversary service 10 a.m. to noon Sunday.

Pastor Wesley Byrd will celebrate his 32nd year as pastor of the church, and is making the service special with a note-burning ceremony. The church has paid off its long-standing mortgage and is celebrating being debt- free.

Special speaker will be Jim Lang, of Dallas, where he is pastor of Central Baptist Church. He and his wife, Dana, also will sing during the service.

Lunch will be served, and friends of the church are invited.

Coleman to speak Monday

Enid Aglow International Light House will welcome special speaker Debra Coleman at 7 p.m. Monday at Fellowship Hall of Living Word Fellowship, 905 W. Rush.

Ordained through House of Prayer Ministries, Chapman has been a pastor, co-pastor and youth and children leader in churches in Oklahoma and Missouri. She also has been involved in prison ministry. She is president of the national chapter of Women of Worship and has ministered in Aglow meetings in Oklahoma and Missouri, and in word and song in nine states and a missionary trip to India.

Mixed gospel quartet concert Sunday at Calvary Baptist

Delivered 24/7, a mixed-gospel quartet, will be in concert 6 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church, 831 E. Broadway.

Delivered 24/7 is based at Lexington, and was voted Branson Gospel Music Group of the Year in 2010. They have shared the stage with national artists The Melody Boys, The Dixie Echoes, The Anchormen, Mark Bishop, Karen Peck and New River.

The free concert is open to everyone and a love offering will be taken.
