“The Man Who Thinks He Can”
“If you think you are beaten you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost,
For out in the world we find
Success being with a fellow’s will:
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you’re outclassed. You are:
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man,
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.”
It is not the goal of everybody to bake a chocolate cheesecake with raspberry sauce.
That might seem beyond the range of some of us. However, everyone can make this delicious dessert because it is made from a mix. Then just sit back and take your bows as your guests enjoy it. One of the lovely ladies in my Bible study group shared it with us, and it is too good a secret to keep.
Joyce’s Wet Fudge Cake
- 1 German chocolate cake, prepared by instructions on box, and baked
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 container hot fudge topping
- 8 ounces whipped topping
- Crushed Heath bars.
Bake cake by package instructions in 9-by-13-inch baking pan or dish. While cake is hot, poke holes with a fork or wooden spoon handle in cake. Heat fudge topping (I used regular fudge topping rather than the hot fudge, and it was good, but gooey) and sweetened condensed milk. Pour over cake. Allow to cool completely. Ice with whipped topping. Sprinkle with crushed Heath bars.
