Jacob A. Voth Jr. will celebrate his 85th birthday Saturday with an OSU basketball game and family dinner in Stillwater. Cards may be sent to 114 East H. Holden Road, Kremlin, OK 73753.
Jacob was born the youngest of five children to Jacob A. Voth Sr. and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Voth on the family farm near Kremlin on Jan. 23, 1928.
He graduated from Kremlin High School with the class of 1945.
On Oct. 1, 1951, he married Beverly Jane Hamm. This past October, they celebrated 61 years of marriage.
He was engaged in farming for 63 years, in addition to running a Grade A dairy operation. He also worked for the Garfield County Assessors Office for 10 years and has been an active member of Enid Mennonite Brethren Church.
Jacob continues to live on the family farm, which was purchased by his grandfather, Jacob J. Voth in 1902.
His children are Steven Voth of Dinuba, Calif., and Pamela Schoenhals of Kremlin. He has three grandsons, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.
