Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Olmstead will celebrate their 40th anniversary with a reception for family and friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Lucien Community Building. They request no gifts.
Merritt Olmstead and Eileen Wyssman were married Oct. 14, 1967, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Covington. They made their first home in Perry. In 1977, they moved to their present home west of Perry.
Merritt is retired from Charles Machine Works and Eileen has retired from being an independent Avon sales representative. The couple continues their cattle operation. They enjoy family, friends and traveling. They are members of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Covington, where they serve in various capacities.
Their children are Neal and Carla Olmstead, Edmond, and Norman and Lori Olmstead, Oklahoma City. They have two grandsons.
