Mason, 80



Lavona Mason celebrated her 80th birthday Saturday at Willow View United Methodist Church. Cards may be sent to 1302 Quailwood, Enid, OK 73703.

She was born Oct. 23, 1928, in Anthony, Kan., to George and Ella Hern. She is a 1946 graduate of Man-chester High School.

She married Milton Mason July 18, 1949. After traveling with the Army for many years they returned to Enid in 1972. She worked for Sears & Roebuck and Security National Bank, retiring in 1990. She is a member of Willow View United Methodist Church.

Her children are Steve and Roxann Mason, Drummond; Peggy Mason, Stillwater; Linda and Dennis Kellick, Skiatook; and Carol and Charles Fleig, Enid. She has eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.



Voskuhl, 90



Lucille Hawkins Voskuhl will celebrate her 90th birthday with a come-and-go reception for family and friends 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Crescent Community Center.

Lucille was born to George and Ethel Hawkins Oct. 12, 1918, in Marshall. She grew up and attended school in Marshall.

She married S.H. Voskuhl June 22, 1935, in Perry. They farmed and he worked in the oil field until moving to Collins, Mo., in 1958, where they ran a dairy until moving back to Marshall in 1969. They moved to Humansville, Mo., in 1976, before moving to Crescent in 1986. He died in 2002 after 66 years of marriage. 

She is a member of United Methodist Church, Crescent, where she’s president of United Methodist Women.

Her children are George and Sandra Voskuhl, Crescent; Phylis and Glenn Silvers, Mulhall; Bill and Mary Voskuhl, Hennessey; and Ed and Reba Voskuhl, Horseshoe Bay, Texas. She has 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
