Oakley, 85
Keith E. Oakley will celebrate his 85th birthday with a reception for family and friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Longdale Community School Gymnasium. Cards may be sent to Rt 1, Box 200, Longdale, OK 73755.
He was born Sept. 27, 1922, at home in Alfafa County to Ted and Bertha Oakley. He graduated in 1942 from Jet High School.
He served in the Marines from 1944 to 1946 and worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas for 30 years. He is a member of Longdale Community Church and Longdale Community Gymnasium Association.
He married Earlene Jo “Sally” Wymer Aug. 14, 1948.
His children are Keith Ann and Pip Schaffner, Houston; Kay Dene and Tony Tamayo, Harlingen, Texas; and Kelly Jo and Rick Rickman, Tulsa. He has two grandchildren.
Patton, 97
Letha Patton will celebrate her 97th birthday Saturday. Cards may be sent to 1215 E. Garriott, Room 115, Enid, OK 73701.
She was born Sept. 27, 1910, in Ames.
Her children are Willa Mae Rowley, Mustang; Marita Overvelt, Webb City, Mo.; Alice Minnick, Monticello, Ind.; the late Charles Patton; and the late Willis Patton. She has 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
