Mr. and Mrs. Claude “Cotton” Cordell will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a come-and-go reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in Symphony Hall, 301 W. Broadway. Cards may be sent to 9609 E. Robertson Road, Enid, OK 73701.
Claude Cordell and Iris Gonsalves were married June 15, 1958, in Enid at the home of Dovie Choate, 613 E. Birch.
He served with Army National Guard from 1955-61 and worked as a civilian at Vance Air Force Base for 38 years.
She has been an inspector with the base’s supply department at Vance since 1974. She is a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Their children are Anita Cue, Lisa Booze and Chris Cordell, all of Enid; Jene Shouse, Taylorsville, Ky.; Elaine Campbell, New York; Stacie Merrill, Japan; and Caty Druiett, San Diego. They have 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
