Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mercer will celebrate their 69th anniversary May 1. They request no gifts. Cards may be sent to 5518 Texoma Dr., Enid, OK 73703.
Bob Mercer and Virginia Jantz were married May 1, 1939, at Wesleyan Methodist Parsonage in Enid. The Rev. M.K. Sheets officiated. Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Roland.
He worked for Long-Bell Lumber Co. in Enid, Locke Supply in Bartlesville and Georgia Boy Manufacturing Co. in Edwardsburg, Mich.
Their children are Marjorie and Larry Watson, Ponca City; Roberta Mazarek, Edwardsburg, Mich.; Barbara and Fred Brown, Elkhart, Ind.; and Edgar and Rita Mercer, Merritt Island, Fla. They have eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
