ENID, Okla. — T&J Demolition employees continue the demolition of Wilson Elementary School Friday at 10th and Chestnut. The work began late Thursday afternoon.
The building, 740 N. 10th, was traded from Enid Public Schools to the city last summer, as part of a deal for the school district to get enough space for the new Garfield Elementary School.
The school once housed Enid Public Schools students but was only home to Wilson Head Start at the time it was traded. Classrooms for Head Start students were relocated to Booker T. Washington Community Center and Westside Church of God in Christ.
