What's 2 Do in Enid, area this weekend

ENID, Okla. — ‘The Nutcracker’

NOC Enid Briggs Auditorium

Get out this weekend and enjoy the classic holiday tale, “The Nutcracker.”

Dance Works of Enid will present the play at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Northern Oklahoma College’s Briggs Auditorium. General admission is $14, while reserved seating is $24.

‘A Seussified Christmas Carol’

8 p.m. today and Saturday

Gaslight Theatre, 221 N. Independence

Gaslight Theatre will present a twist on Charles Dickens’ Christmas play with “A Seussified Christmas Carol” today and Saturday.

The play is something Dr. Seuss may have created if he were allowed to have his way with the story.

Holiday Celebration

6-8 p.m. today

Public Library of Enid and Garfield County

Public Library of Enid and Garfield County will kick off the holiday season today with Christmas carols, hot cocoa and more.

The library’s Holiday Celebration will be 6-8 p.m. and include craft vendors, Christmas movies and a visit from Santa and one of his elves. The library also will pass out reindeer food to children for Christmas Eve.

Waverley Holiday Home Tours, 5-8 p.m. Friday and 12-5 p.m. Saturday. Friday’s tour will take the form of an old-fashioned holiday to include Saint Nick, carolers and Santa pictures.
