Brown Bag Lunch & Learn, noon, Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center Village Church, 4th and Garriott. Topic of the month is “Significant Weather Events in the Cherokee Strip.” The talk will be given by Mike Honigsberg, certified emergency management director of Enid and Garfield County. Leonardo’s Discovery Warehouse and Adventure Quest, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 1-5 p.m. Sunday. Leonardo’s is a hands-on arts and sciences museum where children can imagine, play and discover. All-day admission is $7; children under two are free. Glaze to read book

Enid artist J.E. Glaze will hold a public reading of his new book, “The Song of the Banded Tree Snail and Other Tales of Space Travel — Stories and Poems,” at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 28 at Davinci’s Coffehouse, 2315 W. Willow.

Questions and discussion will be incorporated during the reading.

This is Glaze’s second book. His first book, “A Year in the Life of Empty,” was published last year.

Both of the books are available at Blurb.com; “The Song of the Banded Tree Snail” is being sold at Davinci’s.
