Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Saturday

American Legion, Oak and Independence

P. Nutt and the gang are returning to Enid this Saturday for the Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down, and you can join in the fun.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military, and kids 10 and under are admitted free. They can be purchased at Basket Kase, 2211 W. Willow; Buck’s Party Shop, 1320 S. Van Buren; Enid Welcome Center, 123 W. Maine; the ITT office at Vance Air Force Base; or the American Legion, at the corner of Oak and Independence.

The Ozark Mountain Hoe-Down is a concert-style performance that features the musical performances of the George Brothers and Leslie Wright, who play modern and red dirt country. The music compliments the comedy antics of their alter-egos, P. Nutt, Ponytail and Girl.

The George Brothers’ CD, “Brothers, Friends & Outlaws” includes hits such as “When You Had Mine,” “Tonight,” “Harley,” “Still in America” and “Walking Down a Country Road.”

Doors at the American Legion will open at 6:30, with the pre-show beginning at 7 and the main show beginning at 8. The show is for the entire family.

‘Tinkering’

Open 11 a.m. today

Leonardo’s Discovery Warehouse, 200 E. Maple

Leonardo’s new permanent exhibit, “Tinkering,” will open at 11 a.m. Friday.

The exhibit will include a carpentry shop with real tools, a magnetic ball wall, a wind tube, various types of building blocks, sewing machines, a take-apart section, an electric circuit table and a Lite-Brite, as well as hundreds of available repurposed materials.

Easter Bunny Visits

Oakwood Mall

Parents are invited to bring their children to Oakwood Mall through the end of March to get their photo taken with the Easter Bunny.

The Easter Bunny’s schedule is: 4-8 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
