ENID, Okla. — ‘Becky’s New Car’

7 p.m. Today and Saturday

Enid Symphony Center

Take a wild ride at Enid Symphony Center this weekend, as you experience all the twists and turns life has to offer with Becky in “Becky’s New Car.”

Becky Foster is caught in middle age, middle management and a middling marriage, until a grief-struck millionaire comes to the car dealership where she works and offers her nothing short of a new life.

The comedy is Gaslight Theatre’s annual dinner theater. Tickets are $40, which includes dinner catered by Copper Pot. Doors open at 6:30 at the Symphony Center, 301 W. Broadway. Dinner will be served at 7, and the play will start at 8.

Tickets may be purchased by going to gaslighttheatre.org, or by calling the box office at (580) 234-2307. There will be additional shows Feb. 8-9.

‘We the People’

2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday

Waller Middle School

Waller Middle School will present its musical, “We the People,” Saturday at the school, 2604 W. Randolph.

The play is about a town, the residents of which decide to put on a patriotic show. The townspeople form a committee to decide what goes into the show, and the audience gets to see what the committee envisions.

Tickets are $5. Students with an ID, children 10 and under, and veterans and current military members all are free.

Showtimes are 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. inside the auditorium.

Planetarium Show

6:30 p.m. Thursday

Northern Oklahoma College Enid

Head to the NOC Enid Mackie Planetarium Thursday, and take a trip to Saturn without even leaving Earth.

The planetarium that evening will be presenting a program about the famed ringed planet and some of its moons. The program will be followed by a virtual tour of Enid’s night sky inside the domed structure.

Following the planetarium show, and weather-permitting, the observatory will be open so the public can view planets, nebulae, star clusters and other objects through the large telescope.

The observatory also is scheduled to be open Wednesday evening.

The planetarium and observatory are located near the intersection of Randolph and Michael Hedges.
