Want to get exercise, but haven’t had any motivation? Join people all across Enid Saturday and begin a six-week campaign to get in — or stay in — shape.

Walk This Way 2013 kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Enid Trails Trail Head on Cleveland. The event was created as a way for Enid residents to get in shape for the summer, while having fun.

During the April 13-May 25 contest, participants will record the amount of time they walk each day or week. Participants are eligible for a grand prize drawing if they walk at least 1,100 minutes.

The kickoff Saturday will include T-shirts for the first 500 who register, other giveaways, music and fun activities for kids.

Railroad Appreciation Day

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

Railroad Musem of Oklahoma, 702 N. Washington

Caboose rides and model trains will be just a few of the things area residents can experience Saturday during Railroad Appreciation Day at Railroad Museum of Oklahoma, 702 N. Washington.

Beginning at 9 a.m., the museum will hold an open house. Caboose rides are available for a donation of $2.

Regular admission is by a suggested minimum donation of $3. Normal hours are 1-4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and 2-5 p.m. Sunday.

Northwestern Oklahoma State University Alva

Medieval food, merchants and crafts await you today in Alva at the Northwestern Oklahoma Medieval and Renaissance Faire.

The event starts at 10 in the morning and lasts until 7.

Along with the arts, crafts and food, entertainment also will be provided.
