Northern Oklahoma College Spring 2013 Concert

7 p.m. Tuesday

Briggs Auditorium, NOC Enid

Northern Oklahoma College’s music groups will treat the public to a night of enchantment Tuesday as they present their spring 2013 concert, “Star Dreams & Disney Themes.”

The concert will be a tribute to Walt Disney. It will include the NOC Community Band and NOC Jazz Band. In addition, vocals will be provided by Dawn Costello, Jessica Long, Sharese Thomas and Morgan Trent.

Dr. Joe Bryant and Deborah Lambert will direct the performance.

Admission to the concert is free.

Easter Egg Hunts and Other Activities

This weekend

Enid and northwest Oklahoma

A variety of Easter events — for people young and old — are on the schedule this weekend.

The Cindy Riggs Memorial Easter Egg Hunt will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Sandbox Learning Center, 411 E. Illinois. For more information, call (580) 242-8687.

Another Easter egg hunt will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Great Salt Plains State Park. Registration begins at 2. Activities will include clowns, Easter bunny visit, mini train ride and games and prizes. Women are asked to wear an Easter bonnet, and prizes will be awarded. The town of Carmen also will host Easter egg hunts — one at 4 p.m. today at Carmen Library for ages 4-10, and a second at 10 a.m. Saturday at Carmen City Park, hosted by Carmen City Chamber. For more information, call the library at (580) 987-2301.

Those in Enid looking for more local fun can check out Oakwood Mall, where the Easter bunny will continue to make visits today and Saturday. Hours are 4-8 p.m. today and noon to 8 p.m. Saturday.

FOCUS

Audio Adrenaline Concert

7 p.m. April 5

Oakwood Christian Church, 401 N. Oakwood

Two-time Grammy Award-winning musical group Audio Adrenaline will perform April 5 at Oakwood Christian Church in Enid, and you can go see them live as part of its Kings & Queens tour.

The band has been recognized for Best Rock Gospel Album of the Year, and has garnered multiple Dove awards. Additionally, it has recorded 17 No. 1 singles.

Other groups performing with Audio Adrenaline on tour include Group 1 Crew, Seventh Day Slumber and Manic Drive.

Advance tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at myoakwood.org/concerts, or you can call the church at (580) 233-1225. They also are available at Enid Christian Bookstore, 610 S. Cleveland, or at Ruth’s Christian Bookstore, inside Oakwood Mall. Tickets at the door the evening of the concert will be $20.

Also, $50 VIP tickets are available, which includes priority check-in, autograph and Q&A session with the band, and group photo. VIP tickets are only available at the church or on its website.
