Before adults celebrate when the clock hits midnight on Tuesday, Enid kids can ring in the “noon” year at Leonardo’s Discovery Warehouse.

Leonardo’s is holding its annual Noon Year’s Eve on Monday, a time where children can participate in all sorts of fun activities and a countdown to the “noon” year.

Events and activities include games, coke walk, lunch, bubble-wrap fireworks and playtime in the museum.

Cost is $3 for members and $6 for non-members.

Railroad Museum of Oklahoma

Check out collections of books, railroad china and other memorabilia at Railroad Museum of Oklahoma, located at 702 N. Washington in Enid.

The museum is open 1-4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and 2-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is a suggested donation of $3 per person.

Simpsons Old Time Museum

Open daily

Take a visit back to the wild West while not even having to leave Enid.

Simpsons Old Time Museum, located in downtown Enid, has an 1880’s saloon, jail, hotel lobby and hotel room.

The museum and its Skeleton Creek Productions movie sets also are available for parties or other gatherings.

Focus: Music, theater offered in Jan., Feb.

A variety of theatrical and musical acts will mark the months of January and February 2013 in Enid.

One musical act, the George Brothers, will perform Jan. 18 and 19 in Enid. The group’s style is described as classic country meets southern rock, with a little bit of blues on top. Tickets are $12 each or $20 per couple and can be purchased at Enid Welcome Center, 123 W. Maine.

On Feb. 15 and 16, Enid Symphony Orchestra will present The Glenn Miller Orchestra at Enid Symphony Center, 301 W. Broadway. Tickets are $30 and available at the symphony box office 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In January, Gaslight Theatre will present “The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood.” The performance is a Monty Python-esque retelling of the classic story of the green-clad hero. Performances are scheduled for Jan. 18-20.

On Feb. 1-2 and 8-9, the theater will present “Becky’s New Car,” a story about a woman caught in middle age, middle management and a middling marriage, who meets a millionaire that offers her a change of life.
