ENID, Okla. — Enid police are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old man that happened early Saturday morning.

EPD received a 911 call at 2:18 a.m. of an unresponsive male in the 300 block of East Columbia, according to a press release from Capt. Jack Morris.

The incident at North 3rd and Columbia occurred at a residence east of Enid Cemetery and south of the Garfield County Fairgrounds.

At the residence, police found the man lying dead on the living room floor. He later was identified as Heath Crites. Police said he had been shot multiple times.

Investigators were called to the scene to begin a homicide investigation. No arrests have been made, and no further information is being released at this time, Morris said.

The homicide is the second in Enid this year. The first involved the February stomping death of a man in a westside Enid bar.
